How SIP trunking works
- Your existing on-site phone system stays where it is.
- We replace your phone company lines with SIP trunks from our network.
- Calls run over your internet connection, with failover routes if anything goes wrong.
We can connect most PBX systems by SIP directly. Older systems that only take digital (PRI) or analog lines can connect through a gateway.
What you get
- Unlimited concurrent call paths
- Local phone numbers (DIDs) in multiple cities
- Automatic failover to backup routes
- Compatibility with all major PBX platforms
- Multiple locations on one consolidated bill
Why switch from traditional lines
Traditional phone lines cost more every year and give you few options when something goes wrong. With SIP trunks you pay less, add numbers and call capacity without waiting on the phone company, and get many of the same routing features as our hosted PBX without replacing your equipment.
Common questions
Will SIP trunks work with our phone system?
Almost certainly. Send us the make and model and we'll confirm before you commit.
Do we keep our phone numbers?
Yes. Your existing numbers are ported to our network.
Does our internet connection matter?
Yes. Voice needs a stable connection with traffic prioritized correctly. We can check what you have, and if needed provide business internet set up for voice.
